Welcome to my Web Site

If you are visiting this page is because you already know me or because we had a contact "on Air" during a recent QSO or Contest.

My name is Franco and i live in Reggio Emilia (locator JN54HQ) a city located about 100 Km (62 Miles) south of the city of Milan (North Italy).

Reggio Emilia is well known not only for the fine food and to be in the production area of Parmiggiano Reggiano cheese, but also for have introduced the current national flag, called Tricolore, the 17 January 1797.

Always keen on in radiocommunications, i obtained the OM License in 2007 after almost 25 years of stand by from last DX made on 11mt band.

DX appasionate, I operate almost exclusively in voice (SSB) and digital mode (PSK31 and RTTY) only in HF bands. I collect QSL cards because i think that, despite being in the digital communications era, a beautiful printed QSL card is really the best reward for the efforts made to contact a New One or for a simple QSO. Since 2007 i'm member of the local ARI department (IQ4RE).

Currently my station consists of a Yaesu FT-1000 MP Mark V, an Icom IC-756 Pro II and a Kenwood TS-2000 that i use for VHF/UHF qsos. I also own a tubes PA Acom 1000 and a MicroKeyer II for digital modes.

An UltraBeam UB-50 (Dynamic Antenna that cover 6 to 40Mt), a inverted "L" for 80 Mt and a Diamond X-50 for VHF/UHF complete the station.

From the PC side, i use MixW 2.19, SwissLog 5.8, Win-Test and the Ham Radio Deluxe suite on PC Acer Intel DualCore 2 PC.

Thank you for visiting my pages.
